So a few weeks ago I made the new farming base shown below. It was both a disaster and an amazing success. It was a success because almost every attack done by an enemy resulted in a victory for me (<50%). But it was a horrific disaster because the sheer volume of attacks increased 3-4x per day. The number of attacks alone makes the base nonviable, if somebody attacks and fails to get to a point to trigger a shield then I'm wide open for the next attack. This made me realize just how much of our base defense is resultant from intimidation and why this base will sadly never work.

I'm surprised you got attacked so much more often! I don't get attacked that often, actually. I must be intimidating Were they trying to win, or just a hit and run loot?

So because I enjoy making bases so much I decided to change my war base even though it's been ages since I've used it. So I've altered it from the first image to the 2nd here. You can tell it's much segmented and there's lots of open area for bomb and trap threats. Overall it feels a bit more spaced out, so there's less focused firepower and more consistent damage across the base as an enemy force moves in. I'm a bit uncertain about the wall placement on the north and south corners though so hit me up with your thoughts.

Most of the attacks on that first base seemed to be gunning for the dark elixer or gold/elixer. A few of them seemed to be less than ideal armies for actually winning but they would still do some damage which got annoying pretty quickly. With my standard farming base I don't get touched outside of trophy droppers except for once every 2-3 days.

I like the new base a lot. Skyward xbows and spacing of the ADs makes air raids difficult even with double zaps. Compartment numbers and spacing makes gowipe hard. Only issue is have is with your rightmost double bomb set, it's a little too outside of the base and not really between defenses so that hogs have to go over them. Other than moving those in looks great!
